Biggest day so far. Longest distance, most time in the saddle, greatest elevation gain. The day started with a flat rear tire about 10 miles in. I hadn't put on new tires before the trip and the rear was pretty well worn out. So I call Jerry who brought the Cousin Eddie Mobile to my location. Replaced the tube and tire with the extras I brought along and away I went.
Three mountain passes later and here I am in Baker City Oregon.
Rest day tomorrow. Planning to do laundry, clean the drivetrain and rest the body. Hoping to recover from this upper respiratory illness that has been bugging Jerry and I for the last four days. Also hoping for the legs to recover and for the other aches in my body to get better. Use your imagination.
Hope you feel better soon. You seem to be making good progress in spite of the heat! mary
