I have been riding a bicycle since I was a kid. I learned how to ride on a neighbor's Stingray. When I got a paper route in 4th grade, I rode my brother's bikes to deliver papers. I finally bought my own bike when I was in high school, a Sears Free Spirit 10 speed. Many years and several bikes later I am still riding.
Fast forward to present day. I have done many biking excursions.
RAGBRAI five times, a
bike ride to Phoenix with my buddy, Keith, a bike ride to Kansas with Bekkey, more MS 150s than I can remember (both in Colorado and Pennsylvania),
MCC Bike Oregon twice.
Bekkey and I try to do at least one if not more biking vacations a year; sometimes mountain bikes, sometimes road bikes and sometimes mountain bikes on the road.
Sometimes I even bike with my friends.
This ride across America will be an epic journey. Let's see how it turns out!
